Ikeacity

With nobody to house-sit, I left my apartment unlocked.

I just moved into my new apartment and chose my furniture to match the city itself: modern, generic, and mass-produced. Meedo, welcome to Dubai.

If you go Ikea be prepared to go again, and again and again as most things break. Just saying.

Yeah well the local antique furniture store was overpriced. But hey, my mattress is a Sultan!!

Here’s what i instantly recognized without even looking at the plan:
Lack = coffee table
Galant = desk
Karlstad = couch
Malm = bed (comes in birch, walnut or dark brown)
Sultan (flokenes?) = mattress

i myself had to chose some modern, generic and mass-produced furniture.
I now live in a mini Ikea showroom in Philadelphia ;)

You read my mind. In fact I’m planning to do a multi-national documentary on globalism and the generic city in which I step into my room in Dubai and then step out to Philadelphia then back into your room in Philadelphia then out to London etc.
